ME/CFS stands for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
It’s a chronic illness that affects the nervous system and can make even small things take a huge amount of energy.
People with ME/CFS often deal with things like:
- extreme exhaustion that doesn’t go away with rest
- brain fog, memory issues, and trouble concentrating
- muscle, joint, and nerve pain
- headaches and migraines
- sensitivity to light, sound, or stimulation
- unrefreshing sleep and sleep problems
- dizziness, heart palpitations, and circulation issues
- neurological symptoms like numbness or balance problems
I live with ME/CFS myself, which means my energy is limited and unpredictable. I create whenever my body allows it, whether that’s drawings, animations, prints, or handmade objects. Everything is made slowly, intentionally, and in its own time.
My work often looks playful and soft on the surface, but there’s usually something deeper underneath. I love creating pieces that feel personal, emotional, and a little dreamlike. From limited prints and block prints to handmade candles, notebooks, and animations, every piece is made with care and attention to detail.
A lot of my inspiration comes from nature, especially the ocean. The movement, calmness, and power of the sea flow through many of my projects. Ocean conservation is also something deeply important to me, and my art is a way of expressing that connection while creating space for quiet, meaningful moments.
Between Tides is my little world for turning feelings, memories, and thoughts into visual stories.
Every piece is made slowly and intentionally. Not as mass production.
And beyond the art itself, I also want this space to be a voice for people living with ME/CFS, especially for those who are too exhausted to be seen or heard. For the people living quietly in the dark, where even silence can sometimes feel too loud.
